Shopping!
Today I did some light shopping. I needed stuff for the bathroom and my mom took me to this store down the street from my house that had my literally overwhelmed. Not only way it ginormous, everything was really inexpensive. In this store I found my new favorite line, The Macbeth Collection. Where have I been? Why haven’t I’ve knowing of this amazing line? Everything is freaking adorable and right up my alley {doing a happy dance}. So I bought a few things today, and tomorrow I’m going back for more WOO WOO!
He’res what I brought:
- The flip-flop bucket is pretty big and I grantee you that it will be overflowing with them in no time. Trust me, I have so many flip-flops it’s just not big enough. BUT I’ll put my favorite ones in there.
- Aren’t those the cutest laundry bags you’ve ever seen? Just because your clothes are dirty doesn’t mean they have to be in a ugly bag.
- And the awesome pineapple mat, will be for my desk. Hopefully I’ll be able to buy it this week, or the next. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Of course I bought more things for the bathroom, and cleaning supplies, but they are not as cute as cute or interesting, so I’m not sharing them LOL!
What have you bought lately? What’s your favorite line for things for the house?
Cure Thrift Shop
So I’m been trying to furnish my bedroom. Before we moved, I got rid off the junk I didn’t want, need, or liked. And all I was left with was my bed LOL.
I love old vintage things, so it’s no surprise I am into thrift/consignment shops. One of my favorites it’s Cure Thrift Shop here in the East Village. Why? Because not only do they have some pretty awesome things, they raise money for diabetes research.
We are a philanthropic thrift shop in Manhattan’s East Village benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute and the search for a cure.
Today they were having a crazy sale. All clothes, shoes, accessories, and books for a $1. I found a really nice suit for my sister for $1. Yup the entire thing.
Of course, I went there to look at furniture and I found two things I really-REALLY want!
Hopefully I’ll save the money fast enough before they are sold. Wish me luck!
Have you ever bought anything at a thrift store? What’s your favorite find?
Congratulations Leah!!!
It’s a great day, it’s not only Cinco de Mayo (get some margaritas going), today a good friend graduates. SO PROUD OF YOU LEAH!
For those that don’t know, her going back to school as a full time student, was a hugs sacrifice for her and her family.
Leah, you are an inspiration and I couldn’t be prouder of you!
So rather than dedicate a super sappy sad song… it’s time to par-tay!
Song Of The Day! – Beastie Boys
A lot is going on today.
Let’s start with some sad news, Beastie Boys Co-Founder Adam Yauch passed away at the age of 47. He’s been battling cancer since 2009 and appears to have lost the fight. Read more about Adam in this Rolling Stone article.
So in honor of Adam’s passing, I’m playing my favorite Beastie Boys song. NO SLEEP ‘TIL BROOKLYN!!! \m/^_^\m/
Also today, The Avengers finally opens! Who saw it already? I haven’t. I will some time this weekend. Shhh, don’t tell me anything.
NERDS REJOICE! It’s Star Wards Day. May the cookies be with you LOL. Who’s geeking out and dressing up in Star Wars costumes today?
Oh, I’m proud to announce that I am finally moved, and slowly settling in. Thank goodness. Love my new commute and I am enjoying my new neighborhood. Hurray!
I think that’s it for now… maybe. If not you’ll see another blog from me ^_^
Song of the Day! – Florence + The Machine
Finally the big move is this weekend and I can stop stressing. I swear I’m so out of it, I put on my undies front to back today and I didn’t realized it. Moving is draining and exhausting {sighs}. A few more days and it’s done.
I heard this song today and I fell in love with it instantly, so here you go. Rock out!
